Every house we renovate fixes something in the home of a family in the same town.
We've spent years seeing abandoned houses in towns where the people who stayed keep caring for what's theirs with what they have. A business that buys houses in a town should leave something in that town. This is ours, in clear numbers and with the community deciding.
How it works
Four steps
We buy and renovate a house in your town
A closed-up house gets its lights back on, a family lives in it, the neighborhood gets a little better.
5% of the profit stays in the town
When we sell or rent that house, we set aside that percentage for a repair in the home of a family from the same town that needs it.
The community chooses
Anyone can nominate. A committee of people from the town picks the case. We don't decide alone.
We fix it with our crew
A roof, a bathroom, a ramp, a door. Real work, with photos, and the story is told only if the family wants.
Who can be nominated
A family from the town
A family or person who lives in the town where we buy, has a pending repair at home that affects their daily life (roof, bathroom, access, safety) and can't pay for it right now. Older adults, families with children and people with limited mobility come first. The family decides whether to take part and what gets published.
Nominate a family
It can be your neighbor, your family or you. First name and town are enough to start.
